Head of Governance and Assurance – Permanent – Central London / Watford
Our client in Watford are looking for a Head of Governance and Assurance to join their team.
What you’ll be involved in:
You will be joining the company in a newly established role and taking over the effective planning and execution of a programme of assurance activities to support the delivery of products to clients. You will take responsibility for assessing and aligning the governance process for programme and project delivery. One of your first challenges will be to standardise the methodology documentation and performance reporting across the organisation. You will be the subject matter expert for risk and governance setting the standards from the top down assuring this is embedded into the portfolio.
You will be able to deliver and optimise the capabilities of a portfolio and programme governance and would have managed large scale programmes within a process driven environment. Leadership skills would help you in your role as you will build and lead a team assurance professionals whilst assuring a variety of stakeholders across the business by setting expectations. Any skills in risk management and assurance in the financial services sector would help you move into the role but this is not a must.
It would be great:
If you have any experience in operating a commercial programme and project portfolio structure or any of the following qualifications: P30 PMO, Management of Risk (MOR) MSP, Prince 2, APM.

The reward: Base salary £65,000-75,000 per annum, Car allowance, bonus and benefits.
