Are you thinking of buying a Playstation VR? Here’s everything you need to know.

Playstation VR is the latest addition to Playstation’s gaming range. The new device allows the user to immerse themselves in alternate realities, by putting them at the centre of the gaming experience. Those in possession of a Playstation 4 console are automatically ‘PSVR’ ready; once a Playstation Camera and the Virtual Reality headset are connected to a PS4, the user is good to go.

The screen

The custom OLED screen allows the user to see hyper-real 3D environments, while 360 degree vision means the player is immersed in a new world with a seamless field of view.

The sound

The user can experience a new dimension in sound with cutting-edge 3D audio that means players can hear the direction and distance of sounds that are coming from,

The camera

With dual lenses and 3D depth sensors, the PlayStation Camera tracks the position of the headset, PlayStation Move controller and DUALSHOCK 4 light bar wherever you are, ensuring you’re always at the centre of your VR gaming universe.

Precision tracking

Nine LEDs positioned on the front, back and sides of the PS VR headset are tracked by the PlayStation Camera – meaning that the user can expect pinpoint accuracy within the alternate reality they are gaming in.

PlayStation Move compatible

The Playstation VR is compatible with the Playstation Move Motion Controllers, meaning gamers can bring their hands into the game too if they so wish.

Play along with friends

The optional Mirror Mode lets fellow gamers see what you’re seeing and gives them a view of your gaming world, while alternate Separate Mode lets them join in as a second player.
