Nokia have announced they will be relaunching their famous much-loved 3310 model later this year.

The original Nokia 3310 was launched in 2000, and earned a reputation for it’s long lasting battery life and seemingly indestructible body

For those that don’t remember, the features of the original 3310 included  a clock, calculator and four games: Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact, and Bantumi.

While the aptly nicknamed ‘brick phone’ is widely considered to be one of the most resilient phones ever made,  Nokia struggled to adapt to the smartphone era and ended up being sold to Microsoft.

Bizarrely in an era of ever-improving technology, Nokia’s have maintained their brand by making new versions of old phones.  However, another attempt to break into the smartphone industry may be on the horizon.

The revived  3310 and three new models, which will be more smartphone than ‘brick phone’, will all be  revealed at Mobile World Congress at the end of February.
