Senior Architect – Data – Permanent – Watford


Our client in Watford are looking for a Senior Architect to join their Financial Services company.


Your job will include:

Integrating solution architectures for a variety of programmes of work meeting current and future business needs and aligning product roadmaps with the IT strategy. The role sits within a new business area that is using up to date, transactional data to create solution that will enable clients to make better informed solutions and even prevents financial fraud.


Who would be successful in this role?

Data architects  who would like to bring together multiple parts of the business including application, infrastructure and data requirements into a single view for the data analytics and data insight products. You will be able to provide data architecture expertise and set standards across the team whilst managing stakeholders expectations. You will be a part of the decision making process for technology choices providing architecture authority in the selection of data related products.


Your ideal skills and attributes:

Experience in data warehousing and data analytics solutions with knowledge of data modelling for operational and warehouse environments. The position will involve working with large data sets with an Oracle environment and understanding the development lifecycle.


Nice to haves:

Teradata platforms, technologies such as Oracle R, Python, financial services/banking/consultancy or software vendor backgrounds, agile and any experience of architecture frameworks such as Togaf, Zachman and PEAF.
