My client are a challenger bank who are looking to break the UK market with a brand new product and innovative ideas. To do this, they need to hire an Information Security Specialist to help them achieve ISO27001 standard and boost their information security standards from a tech, product and business perspective. 


This role will evolve greatly throughout time, and will be an integral part of this banks future growth and scalability!


Skills / Experience will include: 

  • Passion for Information Security and Standards.
  • If only 2+ years experience in the field, want the chance to help define this company's IS going forwards
  • Ensure the company's integrity in terms of security standards of ISO27001, PCI DSS, GDPR & Data Protection.  
  • Have technical knowledge around how to make products secure. 
  • Liaising with stakeholders in regards to security threats to the business. 
  • Identifying gaps in the security infrastructure and accessing what changes need to made to amend them. 
  • Provide support to the team on the implementation of information security risks and strategies. 
  • Third party risk management.
  • Act as the SME on Information Security.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years experience supporting Microsoft networks
  • BS or BA degree in a computer related field preferred. Equivalent work experience can replace the education requirement
  • French or German or Spanish language skills required
  • Must possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide variety of customers. Must be able to work with difficult customers and situations while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanour when working with difficult or challenging customers
  • Previous experience as a Systems Engineer or a System Administrator
  • Experience with design, configuration and implementation of Microsoft and/or Linux based servers
  • Solid knowledge of WAN and Network protocols (WINS, DNS, DHCP, TCP)
  • Ability to solve complex Active Directory issues and Microsoft Exchange issues
  • Experience supporting Exchange and SQL Server 
  • Knowledge of Storage area networks preferred
