Executive Level Interview Questions
If you are going for an executive job role and have got an interview, you will want to make sure you can ace that interview. You will probably be asked much more in depth questions than a normal interview. The interviewer will want to get an idea of your management style and see if you have the relevant experience. We have put together some example questions so you can start to think of ways of answering executive level interview questions.
Example questions for your executive level interview:
- Describe your management style.
- What would be your aims over the next 6-9 months in this role?
- What interested you about our company?
- Describe a time you had to deal with challenges in a managerial role.
- What is your greatest achievement?
- Do you think you will have any challenges in this role?
- What is one professional mistake you have made and how did you resolve it?
- How do you motivate your team?
- What do you think are the key responsibilities of a manager?
- How do you plan to improve our company?
- How do you react and deal with issues?
- What do you understand about our company?
- Do you have an example of conflict within management?
- Tell us about a time you went above what was expected of the role?
- Give an example of when you dealt with a sensitive situation that required quality communication.
- Describe a situation when you motivated your team.
- What qualities do you expect from an employee?
- Have you ever disagreed with other executives? How did you handle the situation?
- Describe how you deal with employees that are not performing to the required standard.
- Why are you leaving your current role?
These are just a few example questions. But thinking of a few points for these questions, will help you to prepare for your executive interview. Just remember the questions might be more in depth than normal and require an example.
